The ESF is the governing body for 15 subvented
schools offering a British curriculum. Prices range from about
HK$4,000 a month for primary schools (age 5-11) and about
HK6,700 a month for secondary schools.
The schools enroll from a geographical
catchment area depending on the area of residence -- although
the secondary schools on Hong Kong island are oversubscribed
in certain age-groups and children may have to be referred to
a school with vacancies.
Children from as many as 40 different
nationalities attend ESF schools which prepare pupils for
entrance to universities and colleges world-wide and not just
the U.K.

The International School of Macao
The International School of Macao is a
non-profit and non-denominational school offering instruction in
English and using a Canadian curriculum. We employ the latest
techniques in early childhood education to build student
confidence and create excitement in learning. Our
certified teachers and teaching assistants collectively bring
hundreds of years of successful teaching experience to TIS.
In 2004-2005, tuition is offered for
pre-kindergarten to Grade 8 with new grades added each year.
