Why Educate

As a teacher and principal of a school I often get asked about the importance of education for a child.  I tell people that it is true to succeed in life without an education, but.... it is so much easier to succeed with one.  A good education can bring freedom to the individual, the ability to travel and a wider choice of jobs.

Education is also a great leveler.  Once you have your qualifications you social and economic background are no where as important.  Parents should do all they can to encourage their children to complete a good education
