General Educational Resources

These resources are of a general nature.  As much as possible I would still like them to be educational related.  But I will consider other exchanges with this page if the material is of quality.

I have been working on my links quite a bit lately.  I was very disappointed to find that many of the sites that I had exchanged links with had removed my link.  I have now been checking all my links and removing those people who have deleted the link to this site.  It is sad to say that it appears to be Google indexing practices that lead to many peoples unethical behavior.

I still do not really understand how Google can decide if a link is relevant or not.  I have read many chat forums on this issue and there does seem to be a wide range of opinions on this matter.  Many people seem to think that relevance is important while others seem to think it is page rank that is important.  I read an article the other day that said that Microsoft receives 105 of all search traffic in the US and Yahoo gets 24%.  The article said Google gets 49%.  It should be considered that both Microsoft and Yahoo seem to place more importance on quantity than quality.

It is highly possible with the release of IE7 that Microsoft will soon swamp Google. IE7 will have a MSN search box incorporated into the browser.
