How often have you thought it would be lovely to have a go at drawing but
thought you weren't good enough? These classes are an opportunity to find
that hidden talent.
These art classes are appealing to people from a wide range of groups:
-
From absolute beginner to professional artist
-
'A' Level students compiling a portfolio for art
college
-
Retired people looking for a rewarding pastime
-
Anyone wanting to rekindle a past interest in
drawing
-
People in stressful occupations needing a way to
relax and be creative
|
|
Students may, however, start at any time as there is no
formal syllabus. People are treated as individuals and work
to suit their ability, from beginner to advanced. Beginners
benefit from one-to-one tuition in their start to drawing,
learning observation and objective drawing techniques.
|
Drawing can be a hobby that brings personal fulfillment. Since these are
ongoing classes rather than set repetitive courses with fixed terms, this
means you can enjoy at any time and continue your training as long as you
wish. Students who have had little drawing experience should not feel at a
disadvantage as there will be help and plenty of opportunity to develop
your drawing throughout the classes.

I have included a small article on the use of visual
aids in presentations on this page: In order to improve your presentation and slides,
transparencies or PowerPoint displays should be: -
Simple
-
Easy to understand
-
Able to be seen by the whole audience
Other points to note
-
Each visual aid should have a single message.
-
Use title phrases on charts and diagrams. For
example 'Gross Income' not Graph 1.
-
Rehearse your talk with visual aids before the event.
-
Allow time for the audience to study each visual.
-
Switch the projector off when you want to get the
audience's attention.
-
Don't use to many visual aids - just a few good ones.
-
For details give a handout after you have finished
talking
The following are some other useful sites for people to
visit.
