Danny Harrington, a founder and Director of ITS and Oxford alum (Christ Church, Geography, 1988), will be running an interview workshop on November 12th at 2-4pm at ITS Tutorial School in Central. The Oxford academic team of Dr Peter McFadden and Dr Katherine Grevling were in Hong Kong last week. Danny was in attendance and will now run the workshop again as a last call for anyone who missed out. This is for candidates who have applied to Oxford for entry in October 2012 and who are expecting interviews this December. Please call 21163916 or email mandy.l@tuition.com.hk to register. There is no charge.

Seminars will be run for younger candidates and hopefuls at later dates, so watch this space. But please only register for this event if you have already applied.

ITS & JetOne launch a raft of training pathways in aviation

China and Hong Kong are experiencing a tremendous surge in demand for air traffic services of all kinds.

Airlines are expanding their fleets, number of routes and flights throughout the region, all of which drives up the demand for qualified pilots. Peter Yu, President of South China Region for JetOne Academy, estimates that there are at least 2000 pilot job openings in China each year.

November 2010 saw the opening of low altitude airspace routes across China. Private aircraft will now be able to fly far more freely. Demand for private pilot licenses for both business and leisure use will surge. Thus, so will the demand for qualifying courses in both flying and the English-language requirements attached.

ITS Educational Services Ltd and JetOne Academy announce US FAA PPL/CPL Ground Training Courses in Hong Kong. 

The courses include: Introduction to Aviation, US FAA Basic Ground Instructor, Preparatory Courses for US FAA PPL/CPL Ground School and Basic Communication for Aviation – Radio Phraseology.

Upon completion students may proceed to flight training with JetOne Academy in Los Angeles.

For people considering a future career in aviation, whether still at school or looking at a career change, familiarization camps are available.
