What is the Test Format?

PTE Academic uses authentic material from a variety of academic contexts and topics which reflect the language you will use in a real-life academic setting. A computer-based test measures all four language areas: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

How long is the Test?

The test is taken in a single three-hour session and divided into three timed sections, in addition to a short un-timed introduction and an optional ten-minute break.
